After a bit of a stagnant period I feel reinvigorated, strangely after being burned by a friend/business associate. This is the second time in my life this has happened. I cannot wrap my brain around how someone you help out and dedicate time to can so easily dismiss you. Without so much as a statement or explanation. I'm not looking for a confrontation, but is it that hard to be straight up and honest with someone and just explain the situation and the reasoning? I suppose this is the age of disposable friends, but seriously.
If the years of dedication and support without asking for more than a thank you is to high of a price to pay, then so be it. The burning of the bridge has only fueled my fire, so for that I guess I say...Thank you.

Dude that's terrible! People can be so uncaring and unkind sometimes. It's really staggering. Though I suppose I'd rather discover how lame someone is and know it's time to move on than continue to work on a friendship or partnership that isn't based on mutual respect. It's a crap lesson to have to learn about some people though. Sorry to hear that!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's how I'm looking at it. Rather find out how people are sooner rather than later. I don't regret the time I invested working on the films, it's just a lack of mutual respect (like you said) that chaps my hide.
